Gretchen Helms, illustrator
Gretchen is a project manager at a major web portal company. In her spare time, she does charcoal and pastel portraits and explored pen and ink illustration for this book. She has been dancing since 1998 and is currently studying with Davina. The two of them compose the Tiger Tribe Dancers. Gretchen shares her living space with a Bengal cat named Marratu who hates zills but loves to chase tassels and veils. She also enjoys photographing animals, people, and airplanes. She is always on the lookout for dragons to add to her substantial collection.

Conrad Wong, illustrator
Born in Mountain View, California, Conrad graduated from UC Berkeley in 1991 and has been following a successful career in the computer industry ever since. He intended to be a best-selling book author, but his spare-time interests took a detour through art courtesy of anime and, with the help of a lot of friends, has been developing his illustrative abilities for fun and a little profit. His remaining spare time is spent going "meow" at random intervals.
