The List - Male Middle Eastern Belly Dance About a year a go, I published a list of sites by and about male Middle Eastern belly dancers. Since then, I have received many notes asking for more information about costuming for male dancers. Although there is a chapter in Costuming from the Hip dedicated to men's costume issues, this is an entire field of costume design yet to be explored. Here are sites that feature information, articles and images of male dancers. As you look around, take note of the styles of costuming that you like and use them as inspiration for your own costumes style. When visiting these sights, keep in mind that there is a male version of every major female style. No matter if it is an elaborately beaded bra and belt sets, Gypsy fusion, tribal or folkloric there are ways of designing costumes to flatter the male dancer.
