Welcome to Costumer's NotesI would like to thank you for visiting our website! Costumer's Notes is now in its second year of publication. This newsletter is devoted to the design and construction of Middle Eastern belly dance costumes. In 2002, we've shifted to quarterly editions, which has allowed us to work on articles in a less frenzied break-neck pace. In this issue, we've eliminated the 'departments' portion of the site. Instead, the departments are transforming into more well developed articles. We've also shifted our goals slightly based on feedback from readers. We're including more detailed 'hands on' type articles, like the article Sewing Glitter Dot which gives lots of tips and hints for working with this difficult fabric. I've begun to document and review events that I've been attending throughout the year. Since we are producing the newsletter quarterly, this is a great time to sum up the quarter. We're also profiling other designers and products that costumers use. The Madame X pattern review is the first of this type of article. Other people have written asking for photos of costumes I've designed and made. You will see an image of Angela Leung, one of my clients in her teal glitter dot costume. In the future, we hope to have even more useful information, informative articles and loads of hints and tips for creating the dance costumes of your dreams. Happy Costuming
