Bibliography

My on-line working bibliography is designed to help research in the fields of dance, costume, art, cultural history and other related disciplines. Locating reference materials can be time consuming and challenging. The goal of this bibliography is to provide budding researchers and students with a jumping off point for their own projects. In each of my books, Costuming From the Hip, From Turban to Toe Ring and Bedlah, Baubles and Beads, I have included a bibliography. Here on the web, I have been able to combine these more focused bibliographies into one large, more complete format.

Bibliography

Bibliography - What's New?
I've spent the better part of the summer working on my on-line bibliography, transforming it in some obvious and subtle ways. In addition to adding many titles, I've also added some new features.

More entries - Research is an ongoing process, and as I discover useful books, the titles are added to the list. While no bibliography can ever be complete, I strive to make this bibliography comprehensive.

New Entries - At the top of each section, new entries are grouped and dated. Each time a new batch is entered, they will be integrated into the list. If you have visited the bibliography in the past, this format will allow the new entries to stand out.

New bibliography main page - As we work to upgrade and reorganize our website, we've upgraded the bibliography main page. There are now better descriptions of the types of books included in each section.

Complete printable version - To accommodate researchers who want an easy to read printer friendly version. This can be an invaluable aid for students who are looking for reference material.

I'm committed to sharing knowledge, resource material and this on-line reference guide provides an opportunity to share the books and publications that I've found most useful. However, I'm only one reader. If you know of any book titles that are not on this list, but that you recommend, drop me a line at davina@davina.org and we'll add them to our list.
