Shopping - Online Bead Shopping

After taking a good long look at May's website, I realize that there is a very heavy bias on this site towards promoting vendors and making suggestions on where to get costumes, pieces and accessories. I find suggestions in the Q/A section, links to vendor addresses on the main page, and then a whole column devoted to shopping on line seemed, well a bit excessive. Consequently, this will be the last edition of the shopping page. Look for lots of tips and hints on internet shopping in future issues as articles or on the Q/A page! Thanks!

Beads make our costumes sparkle and catches the eye of the viewer. Here are a couple of my favorite bead web sites to check out.

Shipwreck Beads is probably my favorite beading site on the web. Not only do they have a wonderful catalog available for reference, but their on-line version is fairly easy to use and has lots of pictures. One of the best features are the conversion charts for calculating the amount of beads you need based on length. They have many charts available from their Tips'n Info page.

General Bead is my favorite bead store to visit in person. They have an absolutely HUGE seclection and a comprehensive on-line catalog. Their site is very visually intensive and can have long download times, but if you are bead shopping, the selection is unmatched and the prices are good.

Beads and Pieces a wholesale imported bead supplier can be a great source for dancers who are putting together more tribal outfits or are looking for great ethnic beads for assemblage necklaces.
