Reversible Hip Wrap: Draping the Pattern - continued

After you have smoothed the fabric in from the side,
mark and pin the top of the dart leg.

Look at the dart. You should be able to see where
the natural end of the dart is. This is the place where
the fold of the dart flattens out and becomes smooth.

Once you have marked the bottom of the dart,
carefully pin the pinch of dart closed.
The pins will trace out the position of the dart legs.

Once the dart is pinned in, go back to the side seam.
Mark the position of the side on your pattern.
This is a reference point that is good to have
when sewing the garment together.

Mark the dart legs following the line of pins.
Make sure to mark both sides.

Mark the position of the bottom edge right at the center of the garment. For an angled style, it's important to mark the exact center.
If you are unsure, mark the best spot, you can
always make adjustments when you have the pattern laid flat.
